A Bit of Perspective About Meikarta

Good day Breaders!

Today we want to tell you guys who wants to live in Meikarta [young workers who still hasn’t got your own home, college students, young investors or even for those who wants to have an apartement] that you all came to the right blog! Since there is so many opinions about Meikarta which still confuses us, we decided to go to the Orange County ourselves, where we can ask everything about Meikarta directly to their marketing department.

But before we start, we want to show you a video and give you little bit description about Meikarta.

So Breaders, Meikarta is a planned city project built by PT. Lippo Karawaci Tbk in Cikarang, Bekasi. Meikarta was officially launched on August 17, 2017. This project is located near Jakarta-Cikampek Highway road. The project is aimed at the middle to lower class citizens. Meikarta’s name itself means “New Jakarta”. The construction already started since 2014 and 50 buildings will be ready at the end of December 2018.

Then we arrive at Orange County in the hot afternoon of Cikarang. We walked straight in to find our information sources which is the marketing spot. There are two women who are ready to answer our questions. They’re names are Mrs. Esra Elita Tulip and Mrs.Uli Sitorus.

So based on those two marketing officer, we knew that Meikarta is an International Housing and soon will be a Township with an International scale. The Meikarta will also build International Hospital, International School, International College, Hundreds of Towers and Shopping Centre. And it is the biggest in Southeast Asia. But it is not all about that, what made us shocked even more is when the sources said that there will be big companies such as Google, Facebook, Super Centre, etc  which will stand in Meikarta. And for the transportation it will have Bullet Train from Jakarta-Bekasi-Cikarang-Bandung.

After we knew some information about Meikarta, we then moved to ask the price for each room in the apartments buildings in Meikarta. They said that the prices will be different according to the types and sizes, but the price starts from 127 million rupiahs.

In the Orange County there is so many room models as an example for Meikarta’s apartments. And it’s all fantastic.

But it’s just an example to provide a model of the room arrangement, so you can have a general idea on how to decorate your apartment if you decide to buy one.

After we finished talking with Mrs.Esra and Mrs.Uli, they kindly lead us to a small car and told us to go around the Meikarta which is still in construction stage. They told us that we can stop to take pictures if we need to. But sadly they can’t accompany us around Meikarta, because they need to continue their work.

So here’s some pict of Meikarta’s construction :

Usually we can only see and feel the dusts on the roadside when we look at Meikarta. But inside of Meikarta, we can also see the green of the grass, beautiful bridge, and colorful plants. Moreover, there are still a lot of colorful big balloons bearing Meikarta’s “M” symbol and a bright blue colour on the sky above us, which made our little survey feels wonderful.

After we finished looking around Meikarta. We went back to our campus and asked the students a few questions about Meikarta. Most of them said that it is good to have Meikarta around Cikarang, because it can reduce the unemployment rate and lessen the density of Jakarta’s population. And also, all of them want to live in Meikarta if given the chance.

But Breaders...

Meikarta still have some problem about their mega trillion rupiah project. And it is a very crucial problem, they still don’t have the permission to build their project from the West Java Provincial Government.

Deddy Mizwar, the Vice Governor of West Java, said that he is surprised about Meikarta. It is not in the plan of the province government regarding West Java urban Planning.

But Ketut Budi Wijaya, The CEO of Meikarta, explained to the media that they do have the permission, but it is from the Bekasi district government. The permission they got is the principle right to the 3.250 Ha land to build business, commercial, and residence area in Cikarang. He added that he got the permission long before the West Java Urban Plan was released, 30 years ago.

So, while right now there are already a lot of people that bought themselves apartment in meikarta, most of them are still worried about the permission, although they do have it from the district government. This problem also hinders Meikarta in selling their apartment to some more people that doubts the Meikarta project authenticity.


So Breaders, based on what we wrote in this post about Meikarta, here are a short pros and cons regarding living in Meikarta :

PROS : 

1. Good and comfortable living environment.  
2. Cheap apartment if you buy early. 
3. Near Cibatu Highway gate. 
4. Near a planned Jakarta-Bandung bullet train. 
5. Meikarta will have famous academic institution in it
6. Meikarta will have business and shopping centers of their own. 
7. Meikarta is an International Class area, the biggest in Southeast Asia.

CONS :

1. It's permission is still unclear. At worse, The Meikarta will be cancelled

In summary, from what we know and what are let out about Meikarta in media, is that living in Meikarta is a good idea. They promised a lot of things that will help us in living in Meikarta. If Meikarta fulfill their promises, despite their problem regarding permissions, all the people who choose to live there will be the most lucky people, because all of the facilities and good things that Meikarta provided to its customer.
